Certified Personal Trainer · Hopkins Area

Science-backed personal training and online coaching for Hopkins-area men and women. Getting in shape doesn't have to take over your life.

As a Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering graduate student at Johns Hopkins, I’ve applied the scientific method and tested these methods extensively on myself and later other people I have trained.

In the fitness space, many trainers perpetuate misinformation that makes strength training, cardiovascular training, and diet principles much more complicated, time-consuming, and daunting than it needs to be. Often their advice is misguided and even dangerous, causing injury and unhealthy diet relationships. To make very meaningful progress, only a couple short strength training and cardiovascular workouts are needed each week. Getting in shape does not have to take over your life, all you need is a few hours of work a week and healthy diet practices.

Without the use of performance-enhancing drugs, I have gone from 125lbs to 185lbs in 6 years of consistent strength training. I’ve built up to a 405lb bench press, a 515lb squat, a 765lb deadlift, a 206lb strict curl (more than the drug-tested world record), and a 200lb weighted pullup. By critically evaluating strength training and diet research to apply it to my own fitness systems and learning from mistakes earlier on in my fitness journey, I’ve created my own program that I have used to help others progress in a similar fashion and turned into my guide.

If you’d like to work together, pick a plan using the button below. Every plan comes with a copy of my guide, and I’ll reach out to set up a consultation as soon as you sign up. Have questions first? Fill out my Get Started questionnaire. I would love to start working with you.
